Believe You Can Lose Weight and
You're Halfway There



Welcome my friend to Extraordinary Weight Loss Motivation: Day 1.

Today's lesson is based on Chapter One of my Power2bThin Workbook: Extraordinary Weight Loss Motivation.

What are Your Weight Loss Beliefs?

  • I have no willpower.

  • I have a sweet tooth.

  • I'm addicted to chocolate.

  • I always gain weight during the holidays.

  • Being overweight runs in my family.


  • I have no support from my family and friends.

  • It would be easier to lose weight if I was single.

  • It would be easier to lose weight if I was married.

  • I don't have time to exercise.

  • I don't have time to prepare and cook healthy meals.


  • I cannot lose weight because I have a sluggish metabolism.

  • I cannot lose weight because of my thyroid.

  • It's hard for me to lose weight because I'm a woman.

  • It's difficult to lose weight because of my age.

  • I need a personal trainer to help me exercise.


  • I cannot afford a personal trainer.

  • I cannot afford to buy healthy fruits and vegetables.

  • Healthy food is tasteless.

  • Fast food is cheaper than healthy food.

  • More...

Whatever you believe is, and always will be, true for you.

In order to successfully lose weight you have to believe, deep down in your heart, that you can.


As you work through chapter one of your workbook, and you focus on changing your negative beliefs into positive beliefs, you will find that losing weight becomes much easier.

Over the course of the next 122 Days, I will be addressing all these beliefs and thoughts, and help you to think differently about food, exercise, and your ability to lose weight.

Action Step of the Day

Make copies of the "Positive Thought Squares" from Chapter One.

Read them a few times over the course of the day. You can post one or more on your fridge, your computer monitor, your bathroom mirror, in your wallet...any place where you will be reminded about how important your weight loss beliefs are.

It's a small thing to do, doesn't take much time, and will keep you motivated.

Believe you can lose weight, and you will reach your weight loss goals.
